WHAT NOVICE TRIMMERS CAN DO
AT THE END OF THE SEVEN-DAY SESSION
  1. Understand how hooves function internally.
  2. Know how the hooves of  horses, mules, and donkeys differ.
  3. Use simple measuring tools to create a plan to trim hooves to work at maximum efficiency.
  4. Use standard farrier tools (knives, rasps, nippers) to "trim from the inside" correctly and efficiently.
  5. Use an abrasive grinder to work on vary large or very diseased hooves.
  6. Learn how to trim laminitic, foundered, damaged, and/or diseased feet.
